La naturalidad del sonido en un soplo. Flautas con interior sin lacar, con orificio y boquilla natural para garantizar un sonido tradicional muy terrenal sucio y oscuro. Su tono tiende a los bajos con menos medios y brillo. Excelente resonancia por las paredes gruesas de este tipo de bambú.Estas flautas están hechas con el mejor bambú de raíz de selección personal del maestro Zapata, para crear un instrumento de viento perfecto con un tono inigualable que solo el shakuhachi de bambú puede ofrecer. Las flautas poseen un balance natural dado por el peso del mismo grosor del bambú con final de raíz. La belleza del dentado de sus raíces se conserva para dar una estética única y hermosa. Estas flautas pueden presentar una leve o pronunciada curvatura natural que embellece el instrumento en su forma. El bambú es curado en un proceso delicado y paciente hecho personalmente por el maestro Zapata para obtener un shakuhachi de concierto y estudio. La flauta viene firmada con el sello personal del luthier (Hanko) al reverso. Incluye caja, certificado de autenticidad, incienso aromatizador, instructivo de soplado y notación (tabla de digitación), funda elaborada con tela resistente para protección del instrumento (se entrega funda según disponibilidad, foto de referencia) Estante se vende por separado.
Las flautas largas son bajos, catalogadas con el término japonés Chokan, lo cual traduce literalmente tubo largo, van desde 2.1 a 3.2 pies de longitud. Son instrumentos que se asocian directamente con la práctica meditativa budista por los tonos bajos que ofrece su frecuencia de sonido.
